L'articolo propone un percorso artistico che svela il messaggio di Roma: un messaggio di bellezza che racchiude valori ed esperienze, civiltà e universalità; un messaggio che fin dalle origini dell’Urbe è stato intreccio di vicende civili e religiose. E anche gli artefatti lo svelano. Sono essi che hanno fissato nel tempo la pulchritudo di Roma; sono in particolare le testimonianze dell’arte paleocristiana, di quella del medioevo, del rinascimento e del barocco che ci restituiscono la mens di Roma e il suo “volto artistico”. “Imparare Roma” è un percorso educativo e formativo che si snoda attraverso la conoscenza dei suoi monumenti e della sua storia per riappropriarsi di una identità che si dilata dall’Urbe sul vasto orizzonte europeo e su quello di tutto l’Orbe.

Summary

The article propose an artistic course that reveals Rome’s message: a message of beauty which includes values and experiences, civilization and universality; a message that from the beginnings of the City, has been woven with both civil and religious events. The artifacts themselves reveal this. They established Rome’s pulchritude in time. They include in a particular way the witness given in Early Christian art, Medieval art, the Reinassance and Baroque art, which all contribute to the Roman mens and its “artistic face”. “To learn ” is an educational and formative course that develops through knowledge of its monuments and its history so as to renew its identity. This identity then spreads from the City to the wider European horizons and then to the whole World.
